As noted in the video, this is a photo of the painting that my sister, artist Laura Diemer did for my novel (then called Hymns for Her that would eventually become The Dark Wife). The poem on the painting is one of my favorites, “Prayer to Persephone” by Edna St. Vincent Millay.

Hope you don’t mind me saying, but your excitement is so cute! I’m envious of your writing room. It would be so cool to have inspiration all over the walls in front of me. I also liked the bit about your writing process. Learning/hearing how others write is always fascinating to me.
